Hometown is a highly localized gathering featuring leaders from around the community of Richfield. The event highlights Richfield residents as keynote speakers, and is intended to be an inspiring networking event for individuals who are invested in the city's wellbeing, or want to learn how to become more connected within the community.
Hoop Local
Hoop Local is an annual 3v3 Basketball Tournament & Community Fundraiser hosted at Donaldson Park. The inaugural tournament in July 2022 raised $10,000 towards the purchasing of new MegaSlam XL Hoops for the park.

MN's First Augmented Reality Mural
Mixto Mural
The Mixto Mural is located at Galaxy Foods off 71st & Chicago. In June 2022, residents were given a chance to share what they would like to see incorporated in a new mural. Artists Ricardo Perez (Richfield resident) and Sebastian Rivera Cintron then created the mural based upon the community input that they received. Amir Berenjian from REM5 Studios out of St. Louis Park created the Augmented Reality (AR) portion. The entire project was completed September 2022. Over a dozen companies contributed in various ways.
